Your messages are encrypted so thoroughly that we couldn’t read them if we wanted to. But privacy is more than encryption, so everything about you — your mood, your status, whether you’re on a map at all — sits behind switches you own. How the three layers work →

Any conversation can be flipped from its feed to a map of just the people in it — handy for “are we still on?”, easy to ignore the rest of the time. It’s an option, not the point: plenty of people use Badger purely for the conversations and never switch a map on at all.
